World of Warcraft’s 10th major expansion, The War Within, arrives later this month. The expansions to Blizzard’s iconic MMORPG have added hundreds of new storylines, characters, and locations to the world of Azeroth throughout WoW’s nearly two-decade run (and counting). Fans who want to spend even more time exploring Azeroth should check out the upcoming World of Warcraft: Exploring Azeroth Complete Collection. The hardcover box set pulls together all five books featuring popular WoW characters as well as a world map and collectible pin. You can preorder Exploring Azeroth Complete Collection at Amazon ahead of its November 5 release.
The box set would probably look great displayed on a shelf next to World of Warcraft: The War Within 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition, which has been restocked at the Blizzard Gear Store.
$150
The five books, detailed world map, and collectible pin are housed in an ornate, display-worthy slipcase.
At the moment, Amazon is charging the full $150 list price, which is a big jump in price when compared to the five books when bought individually. That said, you won’t be charged until the box set ships, and books often receive substantial discounts at Amazon before release. If you order now, you’ll automatically pay the lowest price offered by Amazon up until your preorder ships.
All told, World of Warcraft’s Exploring Azeroth series clocks in at 856 pages across five volumes:
Published by Blizzard, Exploring Azeroth debuted in 2020 with The Eastern Kingdoms and will come to a close with Islands & Isles. Each book in the series stars key characters from the MMO, including Stormwind Spymaster Matthias Shaw, Horde beastmaster Rexxar, Li Li Stormstout, and the Bronzebeard brothers. The fifth volume, the only book in the series that isn’t already available as a standalone book, follows First Arcanist Thalyssra and Regent Lord Lor’themar Theron.
As the title suggests, the books let you explore. the sprawling lands of Azeroth through the eyes of beloved WoW characters.
If you’d prefer not to wait until November 5 to check out the books, four of the five are already available for purchase (we linked each book above). The fifth–Islands & Isles–is set to arrive on October 1. Keep in mind that purchasing these on their own won’t get you the premium slipcase or the redesigned versions of each book, but the content is the same.
To round out your Blizzard book collection, take a look at the discounted Diablo: Horadric Vault Complete Collection. Like the World of Warcraft book, this one compiles four existing books into a stunning hardcover volume. At 632 pages, it’s a great way to learn more about Tyrael, Deckard Cain, Adria, Lorath, and other familiar faces from its haunting world. A fifth entry in the series, Book of Prava, is set to release alongside the fifth book in the Exploring Azeroth series. You’ll also find The Art of Diablo: Volume 2 (Limited Edition) up for preorder, which arrives on November 5.
