Dragon Age: The Veilguard is now available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Though you can no longer take advantage of official and retailer-exclusive preorder bonuses, the collector’s edition remains in stock for PS5 and Xbox Series X. The collector’s edition is officially named Rook’s Coffer Edition and is exclusive to GameStop.
BioWare fans who aren’t interested in all the extra trinkets found in Rook’s Coffer have two other substantially cheaper options: the $70 standard edition ($60 for PC) and $90 Deluxe Edition ($80 for PC). The Deluxe Edition comes with a bunch of in-game cosmetics: three armor sets and six weapon skins for Rook as well as seven armor sets and seven weapon skins for companions.
If you prefer physical editions and often buy games at Amazon, you should know that the stock situation for The Veilguard is less than ideal. Shipping windows vary by region and are impacted by your membership status–Prime members will get their orders sooner–but as of October 31, only the Xbox Series X standard edition is still available for delivery this weekend at Amazon. The Xbox Deluxe Edition and both the standard and Deluxe for PS5 aren’t estimated to arrive for a week at minimum.
Depending on your location, Best Buy is still offering delivery this weekend for standard and Deluxe versions for both PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard at Amazon
Amazon is also taking preorders for the The Art of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, a hardcover art book launching November 5 for $50. A collectible Deluxe Edition of the art book is available to preorder for $90 (was $100).
$220
It’s uncommon for a GameStop-exclusive collector’s edition for a game with as much hype as The Veilguard to be available on launch day, but Rook’s Coffer is still available for PS5 and Xbox Series X for $220. It comes with the $90 Deluxe Edition, so you’re paying $130 for the collectibles shown above. PC players can preorder the collectibles separately for $150 from BioWare Gear, so console players are effectively getting a discount. For PC players, it’ll cost $230 to make your own bundle with the game and collectibles as individual purchases. Here’s what you’ll get with Dragon Age: The Veilguard – Rook’s Coffer Edition:
- 22″ Light-Up Lyrium Dagger – Charges with mini-USB, can be turned on/off, designed for display, not play
- Rook’s Card Deck (52 Cards) – Each card features characters and places Rook encounters
- Companion Litho Print – 18 x 24 inches with art featuring allies
- Potion Flask – Decorative, don’t drink from it
- Thedas Illustrated Map with Quiver Tube
- Enchanted Die – D12 die with dialogue-wheel UI, comes with drawstring storage pouch
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard Deluxe Edition (only for PS5 or Xbox Series)
Since you’re getting the Deluxe Edition with the console version of Rook’s Coffer, your copy of The Veilguard will include the following in-game bonuses:
- Deluxe Edition in-game content: Rook armor sets (x3), Rook weapon skins (x6), Companion armor sets (x7), Companion weapon skins (x7)
