Where Is Xur Today? (April 12-16) Destiny 2 Exotic Items And Xur Location Guide

The road to The Final Shape has officially opened up, as the launch of Into the Light this week has brought with it the return of a fan-favorite Exotic weapon mission, a new Onslaught horde mode to play, and more weapons to earn. Speaking of weapons, Xur has arrived, bringing with him an assortment of new gear. Here’s where you can find Xur this week, and what he has for sale.

This week you can find Xur in The Tower, inside the Hangar. For his weapon, Xur is offering Hard Light. Hunters can pick up the Lucky Raspberry chest armor; Titans can grab the One-Eyed Mask helmet; and Warlocks can buy the Getaway Artist gauntlets.

Xur Location

Xur’s location in the Tower.

Spawn in using the Courtyard transmat zone in the Tower to find Xur this week. Head left and down the stairs to enter the Hangar section, then hang another left. Make your way to the north end of the area and look for a staircase that will take you onto a catwalk, where Xur is waiting.

Exotic Armor

Lucky Raspberry (Exotic Hunter chest armor)

Lucky Raspberry
Lucky Raspberry

Even though it got nerfed several months ago, Lucky Raspberry is still a decent Exotic for Arc-focused Hunters looking to do some demolition. It increases the chaining abilities of Arcbolt grenades and damaging enemies with Jolt effects or collecting Ionic traces will grant addition grenade energy. Arcbolt grenades can also disrupt Overload Champions and briefly prevents them from regenerating health, making it useful for high-difficulty PvE activities. This is a pretty average roll with high mobility and decent discipline, resilience, intellect, and strength stats, so grab it for a solid all-rounder piece of Exotic armor.

  • Mobility: 21
  • Resilience: 11
  • Recovery: 2
  • Discipline: 12
  • Intellect: 9
  • Strength: 9
  • Total: 64

One-Eyed Mask (Exotic Titan helmet)

One-Eyed Mask
One-Eyed Mask

One-Eyed Masks is one of those Exotics designed with PvP in kind. Its perk, Vengeance, isn’t a reference to The Batman but it does highlight targets who damage you. Track them down and destroy them, and you’ll gain an overshield in return. This Exotic has some odd stats, as it goes heavy on discipline–great for reducing your grenade cooldown–and mobility, while intellect, recovery, and strength are low. Resilience isn’t too bad, but there have been better rolls in the past of One-Eyed Mask.

  • Mobility: 18
  • Resilience: 13
  • Recovery: 3
  • Discipline: 24
  • Intellect: 2
  • Strength: 7
  • Total: 67

Getaway Artist (Exotic Warlock gauntlets)

Getaway Artist
Getaway Artist

With Getaway Artist, you’ll never be alone. Dynamic Duo–another Batman reference this week–allows you to convert your Arc grenade into an Arc Soul, a handy little turret for when you need extra firepower. Combined with an Exotic weapon like Coldheart or Season of Plunder’s Delicate Tomb, and you can quickly gather Ionic Traces to recharge your grenade ability and constantly summon Arc Souls. This Exotic pours almost everything into recovery and discipline, so in theory, it could work decently if you spec your Warlock for grenades and keep popping healing rifts to increase your odds of survival. It’s a glass cannon roll with this Exotic, as you’ll hit hard and potentially take heavy damage with this armor piece.

  • Mobility: 2
  • Resilience: 3
  • Recovery: 29
  • Discipline: 23
  • Intellect: 7
  • Strength: 2
  • Total: 66

Exotic Weapons

Hard Light (Exotic auto rifle)

Hard Light
Hard Light

Xur hasn’t offered Hard Light in a long time, so if you’ve been looking to add it to your collection, pick this versatile auto rifle while he has it. It comes with the Fundamentals perk, which allows you to cycle between Solar, Void, and Arc elements. Each element adds a slight buff to the weapon, and its second perk Volatile Light makes rounds penetrate targets and ricochet when they hit hard services. For Legend-difficulty activities, this is a good option for when you need to burn through specific shields or take advantage of elemental damage boosts.

  • Volatile Light
  • Polygonal Rifling
  • Alloy Magazine
  • The Fundamentals
  • Composite Stock

Hawkmoon (Exotic hand cannon)

Hawkmoon
Hawkmoon

Hawkmoon this week is easy to not recommend. Quickdraw isn’t as quick as the description makes it out to be, while the rest of the perks don’t complement this ability very well.

  • Paracausal Shot
  • Smallbore
  • Alloy Magazine
  • Quickdraw
  • Polymer Grip

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
